Description

In this course, students will enhance their understanding of economics by analyzing the economic setting in which a movie takes place. Drawing from the economics literature, we will discuss how economics explains the institutional and historical background of the film's plot takes place in. We will cover topics such as property rights, incomplete markets, asymmetric information, and inequality and fairness. Eventually, we will answer the question: is the film's plot and characters' behavior consistent with the economics literature?
