Description
It is the goal of this class to introduce the student to basic fitness and wellness concepts and to provide exposure to a wide variety of cardio, respiratory, and weight training methods. Each class period will include exercises to improve flexibility, cardio respiratory fitness, and muscular strength and endurance. Cardio respiratory activities may include walking and jogging (both outside and on a treadmill), hiking, stationary biking, stair climbers, rower, elliptical cross trainer, rope skipping, and water exercises. Muscular strength and endurance exercises may include machines, free weights, balls and bands, as well as gravitational resistance and functional training exercises. P/NP only. May be repeated for credit. Additional course information for fall 2020.
