Description
There are three weapons used in modern European-based fencing: Foil, Epee, and Saber. Foils are best for beginning to learn the sport because they cover moves that are also used in saber and epee fencing. Many people specialize on one of the three swords, but all well-trained maestros should know to teach them all. This course will cover the techniques, rules, tactics, and psychology of competitive fencing. Goals are to have fun, since fencing is a sport, but it is also a game. P/NC only. May be repeated for credit.
