Description
Successful leaders must possess knowledge in the following areas: understanding leadership variables, power of vision, importance of ethics, empowerment and understanding of people, leadership principles, developing others, and performance management. Through a series of lectures, guest speakers, guided interactions, and a group project, students will explore principles of relational leadership and learn to develop leadership skills to impact their lives and communities. This class emphasizes an interactive approach to learning. Its purpose is to stimulate and build competency through realistic and practical discussion and exercises. The course will meet twice-per-week. This class does not qualify for the Physical Education requirement. P/NC grading only.
