Description
This class educates students about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area (school, neighborhood, workplace, etc.) and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. CERT members can assist other following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help. This class does not fulfill the Physical Education requirement for graduation. P/NP only. May be repeated for credit.
