The Writing Center works with students on all types of writing, including course papers, lab reports, creative writing, speaking assignments (such as oral presentations, class discussion leading, and poster talks), and professional writing (like personal statements, cover letters, and resumés).We are also available as a great place to study weekdays from 8am-12pm and 1pm-5pm.

The Writing Center is open for appointments Sundays-Thursdays in the afternoons and evenings.
Would you like to meet with a Writing Partner but can't make an appointment or find all appointments are booked?
Through Thursday, December 13th, we will have drop-in hours on Sunday through Thursday nights from 8-10pm.
Since Partners' shifts end at 10pm, please arrive no later than 9.30pm.

Welcome to the Writing Center

Welcome to the Writing Center! If you are not logged in, please do so above, using your CAMPUS network username and password. After you've logged in, you'll be able to view the Writing Center's schedule and reserve Writing Center appointments.

If you need to cancel your appointment, please do so above by going to 'My Student Appointments' and clicking on the trash can icon.
You must cancel your appointment *at least* one hour in advance to give other students the opportunity to use that appointment. If you fail to cancel your appointment in time twice during the semester, you will not be able to book appointments at the Writing Center, though you can still use drop-in hours.
Multilingual Specialist Jenny Thomas is available to work with writers from diverse linguistic backgrounds to develop a broad range of strategic tools for effective communication in the US academic context. Sessions may focus on any aspect of writing in English, from disambiguating sentence-level language to unpacking organization to developing research strategies or engaging audience expectations.  
Longer Papers, Regular Writing Partners, and Other Specialized Services
The Writing Center works with students on speaking assignments, introductory lab reports, personal statements, resumes, and C.V.s without any advance notice! If you are working on a longer paper (10+ pages), please schedule two appointments in a row so that you will have enough time. If you are interested in having a Regular Writing Partner (a weekly or biweekly series of meetings with the same Writing Partner), you are writing a paper for an upper-level science course, foreign language, or creative writing, please provide at least 72 hours advance notice and email so that we can match you with a Writing Partner who can address these needs. 
5C Students and Auditors
The Pomona Writing Center serves 5C students and community auditors with their assignments for Pomona courses. Please send an email to to make an appointment, or come to drop-in hours, Sunday through Thursday from 8-10pm.
